Job vacancies in 8 states and territories of Australia


Job seekers are interested in the number of job vacancies across states and territories, which is an indicator of economic growth and healthy economy. While New South Wales and Victoria have achieved consistent growth in the number of job vacancies since 2013, there were no significant changes in other states and territories. As at February, 2018, the number of job vacancies was 78,000 in New South Wales, 62,500 in Victoria, 36,400 in Queensland, 10,400 in South Australia, 22,200 in Western Australia, 2,900 in Northern Territory, 3,700 in Tasmania and 6,700 in Australian Capital Territory .
